Movement and growth are tough in isolation. We’re shaped by relationship from the earliest moments of our lives, and similarly, we heal in relationship. I offer my own steady presence, as a gentle guide, non-judgmental listener, and thoughtful collaborator in your process.
My passion is the sense of possibility and freedom that can come with the exploration of our inner worlds, where limiting beliefs often take hold and our unheard dreams wait to be known. In our work together, we’ll lean on curiosity, compassion, and a creative spirit to understand what’s really happening in the present, how your experience has been shaped, and to nurture growth. We’ll work towards a steadier connection and presence within yourself, and in turn more authentic connection with others and the world.
I work at the intersection of psychotherapy and spiritual care, drawing on psychodynamic perspectives and mindfulness approaches, including Internal Family Systems, Buddhist psychology, and somatic awareness. My grounded approach is non-pathologizing and trauma-informed. Collaborating with clients through both compassionate dialogue and guided contemplative exploration, I gently guide clients towards awareness, insight, emotional regulation, and a change in your relationship to yourself.
When we approach all parts of you with compassionate curiosity rather than judgment, meaningful change has a chance to emerge.
Clients often come to me in their most challenging moments, but you don’t need to be in crisis to seek support. Sometimes a quiet knowing that it’s time to look inward is enough.
I offer grounded support for individuals (18+) navigating a wide range of emotional and existential challenges. I primarily work with clients experiencing anxiety in its many forms, as well as grief and anticipatory loss, depression, family complexity, and the emotional landscape of chronic illness. I’m also attuned to clients moving through major life transitions and related identity shifts.
I welcome clients with spiritual concerns and interests, across traditions, including those seeking support for integrating meditative experience, whether positive or adverse.
No two life paths are the same, and it’s a privilege to learn about the lived experience and lineage of my clients. My orientation is anti-oppressive, LGBTQ+-positive, sex-positive, and client-centred. I aim to be attentive to the ways social inequity, power dynamics, and systemic discrimination cause harm—shaping what feels possible, what feels safe, and what the internal system has learned to carry.
About me.
My background includes graduate training in cross-cultural psychology, trauma-informed psychotherapy and spiritual care. I hold a Master of Psychospiritual Studies (University of Toronto, Emmanuel College) and an MA in East-West Psychology (California Institute of Integral Studies). I did my clinical training working with both residential and out-patient communities at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) in Toronto.
Before working in psychotherapy, I was a curator of contemporary art in the not-for-profit arts sector for over twenty-five years, and a visual artist before that. Those thirty plus years cultivated a creative, relational, intellectual and professional depth that I carry into my work in mental health. Working with creative people taught me to sit with complexity, to collaborate on finding the right expression for what's hard to say, and to meet each person within their unique process. This foundation still inspires how I work—with a love and deep respect for self-inquiry and an examined life as an essential, enlivening and creative practice.
